Museum of Archeology

I saw a small museum of archeology in Belem, with old tools from the Amazon aboriginal people. There were a couple of printed images of etchings made during colonial times by Theodore de Bry - image of natives cooking peices of human bodies. There was a drawing of a small boy eating a hand.

I hope to visit other museums here and find more images like this. There was also a photograph of a priest with the natives. he was wearing a ridiculous large robe decorated with knitted crosses. and he was preaching in the jungle to group of uninterested naked people. It was a really striking image.
